Jessica Douglas-Home

Jessica Douglas-Home is a painter, theatre designer, author of five books and founder and chairman of Mihai Eminescu Trust (1986).
Douglas-Home previously worked at the BBC, National Theatre and Savoy Theatre. Her productions included When We Are Married, 1979; Watch on the Rhine, 1980, Anyone for Dennis, Whitehall, 1981 and The Mikado, Savoy, 1989. Her solo exhibitions of paintings and etching have been featured in London, Brussels, Washington and Princeton, USA.
From 1983, Douglas-Home worked with Roger Scruton on creating the ‘Underground University’ in Czechoslovakia, Poland and Romania (Albania), which have been recorded in the book Once Upon Another Time and Transylvania Lost and Found.
